WOMEN across the country are giving their men a bit of Christmas cheer by investing in luxury corsets in the run-up to the festive period.

Posh retailer Selfridges have reported sales of their saucy fashion corsets were up 70 PER CENT, as their entire stock of Bordelle’s 900 feather girdle sold out in 24 hours.

Girls are also spicing up their Xmas by snapping up sexy undies — with retailers reporting a 16 per cent rise in luxury lingerie sales since last year.

Helen Attwood, Selfridges’ head buyer for lingerie, said: “The trend for underwear worn as outerwear is more popular than ever with customers investing more in fashion that adds a touch of spice to everyday life.”

Sales of Bordelle’s Angela Cage bandage dress, at 365, also soared by 90 per cent after 21-year-old Umbrella star Rihanna stepped out in a similar white leather bandage catsuit at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles earlier this week.
