LOVE them or loathe them, no-one can deny that Jedward made their mark on the X Factor.

The hyper-active duo were often greeted with a chorus of boos on the famous ITV1 stage but their performances always got tongues wagging.

From red PVC outfits for their original take on Britney Spears’ Oops I did It Again, to goggles and jumpsuits for the Ghostbusters’ them tune, their energetic routines took the show somewhere it hadn’t been before.

Before the live shows kicked off, Simon Cowell branded the 18-year-olds: “Two of the most irritating people I’ve ever met”.

But after they ended up in the bottom two this weekend, he admitted: “Boys, if you do go tonight, I’m actually going to miss you.”

They have vowed to carry on with the singing for now but who knows what offers will come flooding in for the Dublin duo.
