This Samsung TV comes with full HD 1080p, giving you bolder image detail and colors. The 40,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio is high but not the best on the market, but you still get pure whites and deep blacks. with both these features working together, you get a realistic picture, ideal for watching action movies.

As the Samsung LN46B500 if full HD and comes with a number of HDMI ports, things really come into their own when you connect a Blu-ray player up. If you do take my advice and play something like Transformers, you will be blown away by the details and the boldness of the colors.

If you unbox this TV and then watch a standard-definition TV, then things will look just a little better than they did on your older TV. Just make certain that you ask your TV or cable provider to upgrade you to HD programming, the extra cost will be worth it.
