About half way in to New Moon, Jake comes into Bella’s room and he can’t tell her he’s a werewolf, but he tells her she knows, she just needs to remember. when they hug before he leaves, the most beautiful music is playing, and i want to know what the song is called? Please help!

Films like New Moon only come along once in a while – or as fast as Summit Entertainment can pump them out.

One or the other. But anyway, it doesn’t really matter, because New Moon is enjoying its second week on top of the weekend box office. and why shouldn’t it? after all, new Moon has got something for everyone – 14-year-old girls, 14-and-a-half-year-old girls, 14-and-three-quarters-year-old girls, everyone. It’s catch-all entertainment. Provided you’re a girl, around the age of 14 and a little bit slow.

And if you think New Moon is popular, just wait for the Twilight film where Edward chews through Bella’s uterus. Wow!

Thanksgiving weekend is an interesting one when it comes to the US weekend box office. On one hand, people should all be spending their weekend at home, eating good food and basking in the unconditional love of their families. But on the other hand, it’s also when people become so desperate to escape all the petty never-ending arguments and stultifying boredom of being around their families that they’ll go and watch any old crap at the movies just to get a few hours of peace.

And by ‘any old crap’ we mean New Moon, because that’s the weekend box office number one for the second week running. and here’s the US weekend box office top five…

1 - new Moon (How many times have you seen New Moon this week, huh? Huh? How many times? is it more than none? Then we hate you.) $42,700,000

2 - The Blind Side (Giving New Moon a surprisingly close run for its money. maybe dreary real-life stories of unerring human kindness are the new topless werewolves. God, let’s hope so) $40,600,000

3 - 2012 (A really terrifying film. Imagine a world largely descended from John Cusack. Doesn’t bear thinking about, really, does it?) $17,800,000

4 - Old Dogs (A film about a cold-hearted professional who suddenly has to raise kids? what an excellent idea for a film! why hasn’t anyone thought of this before?) $17,100,000

5 - A Christmas Carol (Surprisingly faithful to the book. we especially liked the bit from chapter four when Scrooge pulls a funny face, yelps like a monkey and runs around aimlessly for 15 minutes at a time) $16,300,000

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – “The Twilight Saga: new Moon” took the no. 1 spot on the foreign circuit for a second consecutive weekend, grossing an estimated $85.1 million from 8,476 sites in 56 markets.

Offshore box office for the teen favourite based on Stephenie Meyer’s novel and co-starring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart held up surprisingly well from its first-place opening round, dropping a relatively benign 31 percent. The film’s total offshore gross is $243 million.

Box-office action for director Roland Emmerich’s “2012″ dropped by more than 40 percent compared with the previous weekend, for a tally of $61.6 million from 12,090 screens in 107 markets. Since it opened offshore November 11, the disaster movie has grossed $455.8 million on the foreign circuit. “2012″ drew especially well in Asia, taking the no. 1 spots in such key markets as China, Japan and Korea.

Disney’s “A Christmas Carol” opened in seven markets, grossing $20.4 million from 5,328 sites in 48 territories. Holdover markets proved strong, providing $15.3 million of the weekend total, down a mild-mannered 28 percent from the previous frame. The motion-capture feature’s foreign total stands at $90.8 million.

“Paranormal Activity,” director Oren Peli’s super-low-budget horror thriller and domestic box-office phenomenon, opened in the U.K. (finishing no. 2 in the market with an estimated $4 million from 395 sites) as well as in Spain and South Korea. It tallied an overall weekend box office of $7 million from about 1,000 screens.

Disney unveiled the family comedy “Old Dogs” in Mexico and South Africa day-and-date with its domestic premiere. The opening tally from both markets was $1 million, with Mexico providing $816,000 from 321 screens.

Paramount opened the thriller “Law Abiding Citizen” in the U.K., where it finished no. 4 in the market with $2.4 million from 354 screens.

Disney’s “G-Force” opened in China ($1.5 million from 300 screens), and drew $2.3 million overall during the weekend. The overseas gross for the animation title from producer Jerry Bruckheimer is $161.8 million.

EMILY (Tinsel Korey) is Sam’s fiancee and a mother figure to the wolf pack. the left side of her face and body is scarred after Sam tragically lost control as a wolf and mauled her.

Nothing like a role in Twilight to break you into show business. That’s the case for Ashley Greene, who had spent most of her time in Hollywood as a hostess in an L.a. restaurant prior to her fame-making role as Alice Cullen. The Floridian native just finishing touring the country in support of New Moon and she’ll start filming the horror film Apparition in Berlin in February. We chatted with Greene days before New Moon started breaking records.

Are the reactions to Twilight the same all around the country?

I was impressed in Chicago, actually. Chicago was really, really intense and loud and I think it was one of the bigger responses that we had. but there’s always a lot of people, a lot of passion, a lot of screaming, a lot of crying. so really it’s all measured in terms of how deep the screaming goes.

Was it much different than last year?

I guess it’s more intense. I’m much more comfortable with this whole thing. I didn’t really know what to expect at all when I first got into it. it was my first gig, and so it was a little crazy and I was really nervous. and so now you know the fans are there because they love you and they support you.

What was your most memorable fan encounter?

I’ve had a couple people make me scrapbooks, and that’s kind of an incredible thing because I’m in a midst of this whirlwind right now so there are a lot of things that I miss because we’re in this Twilight bubble and it’s just go go go. so probably a year after this is all done, we can sit back and look at the scope of it. so it’s nice for them to put a collection of my career and what I’ve been going through together. That’s really special.

Why do you think fans are so obsessed?

I think with vampires, you can’t really go wrong. for generations, vampires have been a hit because they’re unobtainable, mysterious, sensual, dangerous, kind of sexy. Then Stephanie Meyer added a Romeo-and-Juliet love story to this fantasy world. Edward happens to be a vampire but he’s very much that gentleman who opens doors and says everything a girl wants to hear and he’s basically the epitome of perfection. and then you have Bella, this normal, everyday girl, which a lot of us are, and she steals this vampire’s heart. so everyone wants their Edward and everyone wants to be Bella.

How has playing Alice Cullen changed your career?

I didn’t really have a career! so that’s how it changed. but now I’m doing what I want and I know I’m going to continue to work. This is it; this is the rest of my life. I can walk into rooms and talk to directors and producers that I couldn’t get into their doors before. and I can actually sit down and speak to them like a human being and not be terrified of them. That, and of course, the fact that people care what kind of coffee I drink and who I’m dating and where I’m going. nobody knew my name before and nobody cared and then all of a sudden in a course of a year, everything has changed.

And what is the downside?

The only downside is when people stop realizing you are human and you’re not perfect. but it’s part of the territory and I wouldn’t trade it.

What was your first reaction to New Moon?

The tone, the color schemes, and the warmth of it is beautiful. I think [director] Chris Weitz did a really fantastic job. and then after seeing Taylor [Lautner], I was really impressed. I mean, he’s a 17-year-old kid and he committed and gained 30 pounds and transformed into a completely different person than he was in the first one. He carried this film, and I think that’s a hard thing to do, especially when you’re up against this character Edward. It’s a lot to live up to, and I think he did it justice and he did a fantastic job.

What was your favorite scene to film?

Going to Italy and being part of the Volturi scene was great. Dakota Fanning is fantastic. I was watching her movies before I was even acting. and I got to work with Michael Sheen and he’s an incredible, phenomenal actor and it was great to be able to learn from him and watch him do the scene and watch how it translates to the screen.

He gives that scene a lot of gravitas.

It was so easy for him. He controls the scene. I haven’t worked with an actor of that caliber yet who can do something like that. it was really cool to see.

Who’s your closest friend in the cast?

Kellan Lutz. We’ve been friends for about five years, before this whole Twilight thing even happened. We had the same agent starting out so we’ve basically been friends since we both moved to L.a. We’re together 12 hours a day, every day for like three months at a time.

Is there a role out there you’d really like to play?

I would have loved to do Alice in Wonderland. being a Bond girl would always be fun. We had a lot of action in Eclipse and I’d definitely like to continue down the action road. I want to do a romantic period piece, but those are really hard to get made because they’re very expensive and there’s not a huge demographic. and far, far down the road, probably when I’m in my 30s, I would love to play a North Country/Erin Brockovich type of a role like Charlize [Theron] and Julia Roberts did because they’re inspirational and they’re about very strong women that changed basically the course of history. That would be a really fun role to play, they really affect people. That’s one of the bigger benefits of acting, that you get to affect people.

If you could pick the director to helm Breaking Dawn, who would it be?

I just went to MoMA [NYC's Museum of Modern Art] and they were honoring Tim Burton, and I saw a whole compilation of his films and artwork and I just think he’s an extraordinary artist. I think it’d be really cool to have his spin on it, because it’s a very odd book, there’s some very weird moments. He would actually put a really weird and cool twist on it. and if we could do it the right way, it’d be great to have two films. you definitely want to get all the important parts in there and you know how hardcore and passionate the fans are about it, so one might be difficult and there would be something left out. so if we could do it right, it’d be great to have two films.

Web users offered ‘New Moon for free’

PC Tools’ Malware Research Center is warning web users of another online scam that hopes to piggyback on hype surrounding the new Twilight New Moon film.

The security software developer says the latest trick tempts movie fans by promising them they can watch the film for free, before installing malware on their computer.

PC Tools said fans are baited with the text websites, chat rooms and blogs that read: ‘Watch New Moon full Movie.’

Meanwhile, comment posts are filled with related keywords to attract search engines. then, when fans search for the film they find links to stolen images from the movie itself, convincing the fan the movie is only one click away.

However, after clicking on the ‘movie player’, users are told to run a ’streamviewer’ which installs malware on their computers.

This is the second malware scam targeting Twilight New Moon in a week. Last week, PC Tools warned that malicious websites that claim to feature interviews with the author of the books, Stephanie Meyer, were ranking high in a number of search engines.

Instead of providing a video clip of Meyer, those visiting the site were directed to a window informing them they were infected with malware and then encouraged to download an antivirus solution to clean their PC.

Following the recent success of Twilight at the Indian box office, local distributor-exhibitor PVR Pictures has announced that it plans to ramp up the December 11 release of New Moon to around 400 screens.

In contrast, Twilight opened on 25 film prints and 14 digital prints across 52 screens on November 20 in India. Although PVR’s worldwide distribution head, Deepak Sharma, wouldn’t give exact figures, he said the film has performed way past expectations for an older title.

“It has witnessed a very good opening with over a 60% occupancy ratio on the weekend,” said Sharma. “PVR Pictures will be releasing the movie not only in metros but also in small centres in the days to come. we are expecting a gross collection of close to Rs2m during the run of the movie.”

Initially, PVR was planning to only release New Moon in English and Hindi, but following its strong worldwide opening, and the local response to Twilight, the company decided to widen the release by dubbing it in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil and increasing the number of screens.

PVR recently signed an exclusive distribution deal with Summit Entertainment that covered Twilight, New Moon and a select number of other Summit titles. New Moon is set to cross more than $200m worldwide.

Meanwhile, Sony is also enjoying success in India with 2012 which has become the highest grossing foreign film ever in the country, grossing $14.9m (Rs700m) since its release on November 13. the record was previously held by Sony’s 2007 release Spider-Man 3, which grossed $14.5m (Rs680.7m).

“It looks like 2012 is heading towards the $17m (Rs800m) mark,” said Sony Pictures India managing director Kercy Daruwala. “We initially released with 676 prints – the widest ever for a Hollywood release – but added several prints due to huge demand. There are currently 725 prints in play.”

Expectations are also high for James Cameron’s Avatar, which Fox Star Studios is opening on December 18. Multiplexes across India are upgrading infrastructure to enhance the Avatar experience in both 2D and 3D formats.

Aditya Shroff of local exhibitor Fame Cinemas said: “I believe that the 3D version of Avatar is going to be the revolutionary movie for this generation. hence Fame is trying to go as wide as possible with the 3D release.”

The number of 3D screens in Indiais said to have increased from around 12 to 40, with another 20 screens expected to be ready by Dec 18.

Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox Star Studios India said: “There is an incredible buzz building up for Avatar. the dramatic increase in the number of 3D screens, as well as the strong interest that we are getting from the Hindi, Tamil and Telugu language markets reaffirms this.”

Westrate, 17, has now confessed to police that the middle-aged man only kissed her on the neck and she was a willing participant.

She now faces the possibility of criminal charges for wasting police time, according to celebrity news site TMZ.

Westrate went on television claiming that she was attacked at a screening of The Twilight Saga: new Moon at the Cinema Carousel in Norton Shores.

Police released a grainy image of the suspect and appealed for information.

Speaking to the local Fox 17 news channel, Westrate claimed the man was sitting behind her during the film and made a number of sexually suggestive comments which she ignored. When the movie ended, the man lunged at her, she said.

She said: “We started to walk away and I got maybe two feet from my chair and he pulled me back by my hair and bit me on the neck. He was just smiling at me in the creepiest way.”

Westrate said she was left with a bite mark on her neck, which had disappeared by the time she appeared on television.

‘New Moon’ is not only well on its way to braking box office records but the hearts of countless teenaged girls along the way too — if you believe the warning issued by the Surgeon General against under aged girls viewing the supernatural heartthrob movie without parental supervision, that is.

“We have received hundreds of complaints from parents throughout the nation and abroad of their teenaged daughters spontaneously losing their virginity and becoming pregnant shortly after watching the movie ‘New Moon,” said Alfred Smitt.

And in many of the cases, even during the movie, while the parents helplessly looked on.

“I took my 15-year-old daughter to go see ‘New Moon’ this weekend,” said Patricia Rockford, 34, and a single mother. “And sometime while watching Jacob on that big movie screen, my little baby became a woman. right there in the dark. Before my very eyes.”

Miss Rockford says, like hundreds of accounts like hers, that by the time the movie was over, her daughter already started showing signs of pregnancy.

“She got morning sickness right there in the theater, puking in her tub of popcorn,” said Miss Rockford. “And by the time the movie was over, my baby’s feet and ankles were swollen and her nose ballooned up, too.”

Miss Rockford had to call the ushers to help assist pull her daughter up from out of her movie seat and walk her down the aisle, she waddled so badly.

Later in the parking lot, with the ushers watching, Miss Rockford helped her teenage daughter give birth to a healthy baby boy in the backseat of their car.

“Wow!” commented one of the ushers. “I’ve only heard of this sort of thing happening at drive-in theaters. like the Vineland in the City of Industry, California.”

The Office of the Surgeon General says they are doing all they can to prevent the loss of virginity and unwanted teen pregnancy by getting the word out, but the success of the ‘New Moon’ movie is nothing less then phenomenal.

“The Surgeon General is just overwhelmed,” said mr. Smitt. “I mean have you seen Jacob without his shirt? The man has got muscles where I never knew it was possible to have muscles. I’ll just die if it’s a CGI [computer generated image] special effect. I’m going back to see it again right after work. oh hell, I’ll just say I’m sick and go see it before then. Hey, maybe I’ll call in sick tomorrow too.”

Physicians are at a loss as to what could be causing the spontaneous loss of virginity and equally unexplained pregnancies occurring in teenage girls that have seen the movie and still others that have just seen the trailers.

“As a man of science,” said Roger Shepard a physician on staff with the office of the Surgeon General. “Occam’s razor has taught me over the years that the simplest explanation is often the correct one. so I am inclined to conclude that Jacob’s muscular structure is a CGI special effect but that Edward’s is not. Go Team Edward!”

Psychologists theorize that the supernatural effects, although computer generated, are affecting the subconscious mind, awaking some untapped power from the id within us all; causing the manifestation of spontaneous loss of virginity, ‘Immaculate Conception’ and accelerated pregnancy.

“We decided to keep the baby,” said Miss Rockford, while playing with her daughter’s newborn baby boy and rubbing her swollen belly, obviously pregnant herself. “After all, little Jacob here, he can’t wait for little Edward to come out and play with him? — no he can’t. no he can’t.”

HAS Ashley Greene been taking dieting tips from Kate Moss?!

The actress says she starved herself to get in shape for Twilight sequel new Moon.

“It was really easy,” the 22-year-old told Us Weekly magazine. “We were working 12 hours a day, so it didn’t leave too much time to eat.”

After her comments, made Saturday at the Magnificent Mile Festival of Lights event in Naperville, Il., Greene’s publicist nudged her — but the actress didn’t seem to care about her blunt answer, according to Us Weekly.

Greene also said that she trained extensively for the movie, which also stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.

“We had a personal trainer and then we also had fight training,” she said. “It was a good four hours a day of training.

“I do [Pilates] early in the morning. it wakes you up, and it’s kind of refreshing.

“And that is basically it. Sometimes cardio. I am not a big weight person because when I do weights I build muscle mass.”
