Twitter trends today exploded with news of a sad tale – the tragic passing of a young Justin Bieber fan who ran a popular Bieber fansite on Twitter.

#RIPMary took over the twitter trends several hours ago after a report the youngster was involved in a fatal car accident. according to her twitter page, said to have been taken over by her sister this morning, Mary lost her life in the tragic accident.

Hundreds of Justin Bieber fans on Twitter took to their accounts to post tributes to the teenager “who so selflessly dedicated herself to their favorite idol.”

However Twitter users have called foul play, claiming there was no car accident, and perhaps, no Mary.

Furthermore, the Twitter account that broke the news has since been deleted.

Bieber himself is yet to comment, however fans are confident the sixteen year old ‘One Time’ singer will tribute to young girl in the coming hours should the news be true.

Others demand #RIPMary be removed as Trending Topic on the micro-blogging website.

In recent news, a Jonas Brothers fan lost her life in the Chile disaster, prompting Twitter tributes from all around the world. The teenage girl’s body was found dressed in Jonas Brothers merchandise, whilst clutching a fan poster.

Similarly, a hoax flooded twitter that claimed a Justin Bieber fan had been found dead after the quake.

#RIPMary has yet to be confirmed as a death, but fans discard the doubt in order to come together and pay tribute to the loss of a life in their “Bieber family.”
