That sound you’ve been hearing over at the Barrie Molson Centre?
And the volume knob continues to crank on up as the season wears on.
Anchored by one the league’s most veteran group of players, the Barrie Colts continue to skate straight through opponents.
On Saturday, the Colts exploded for four goals in the first period, sending a shell-shocked Peterborough Petes team into disarray early.
The Colts cruised to a 6-1 win backed by Luke Pither’s two goals and singles from Darren Archibald, Bryan Cameron, Stefan Della Rovere and Taylor Carnevale.
Zack Kassian scored Peterborough’s lone goal, beating Peter Di Salvo five minutes into the third period.
A season-high crowd of 4,065 at the BMC took in Barrie’s league-best eighth straight win.
Make it another two-for-two week for Barrie, which ripped past Sudbury, 5-0, on Thursday night.
That’s four straight wins on the road and four straight wins at home.
That kind of success is pretty convincing.
