Livermore Elite Rampage U-9

The Rampage advanced to the semifinals of the State Cup with four wins over the weekend.

Livermore opened with a 9-0 win over the Union City Alliance. Ashley Cole and Gigi Cole each scored two goals. Also scoring were Maggie Rae McPeek, Alexa Clatt, Kate Hottinger, Hayli Edwards and Kamy Farro.

Ashley Cole added two goals in a 6-0 win over the San Juan Lightning. Camille LeBlanc also scored.

Livermore then faced Mustang and played to a 0-0 draw. Goalkeeper Courtney Hayes worked the shutout.

The Rampage advanced to the quarterfinals with a 3-0 win over El Dorado. Le Blanc scored the first goal, off an Alyssa Silva cross. Gigi Cole and Kailee Haskins rounded out the scoring.

At the Level 6 nor Cal State Championships, Carrie Stouffer placed third in the all-around with a score of 36.05. Stouffer finished first on the floor and tied for second on the vault in the Senior D group.

Sydney Wu placed fourth in the Junior A all-around and second on the vault.

Rebecca Okmin was third on the floor. Audrey Mesik was fifth in all-around and Jenna Lorenz tied for fourth on the bars.

Isabella Book placed second on the bars at the Level 6 nor Cal State Championships. Book was also third on the vault and seventh in all-around. Dana Kudelka placed second

on the beam and Chelsea Vincent placed sixth on the vault.

Pleasanton Phantom 14A Softball

The Phantom opened the Fall tournament season at the USSSA 16U tournament. Pleasanton went winless but followed by winning their next two tournaments. Pleasanton defeated Nova 2-1 to win the Halloween USSSA Elite 2 15U-A championship.

Pleasanton outscored its opposition 37-1 to win the 15U-A USSSA State Qualifier.

St. Joan of Arc 7th Grade Girls

Kayla Frierson, Tia Kim and Gabby Glenn each scored eight points to lead St. Joan to a 29-9 win over St. Isidore. Jada Crawl had seven rebounds and Chandra Allen grabbed four rebounds and had seven steals. Maria Nazarova, Ali Nunes and Yasmin Vahabzadeh played strong defense.

Anna Vojvoda, Donna Fotoohi and Mackenzie Dobson led St. Joan to a 32-26 win over St. Isidore. Alexis Meyer, Christy Hammill, Katie Letts and Kathleen Casey played tough defense in the win.

Ballistic United Soccer Club

Charlie Buckley scored three goals for the Comets in the final game of the season against the Centurions. Max Young and JT Brugaletta also scored goals for the Comets. Logan Roloff, Kale Pressler and Noah Ishaya also played well on offense.

Ben MacKirdy and Kian Amini-Nejad anchored the Comets defense.

  • TOP PLAYERS: Anthony Mitine, Tyler Caldeira, Zachary Riley, Colby Wallace, Justin Wallace, Ryan Armstrong, Dylan Gray, Kyle Franck, Jaden Lewis (Coyotes).

    Jake Moss, Aidan Jetter, Conner Andrews and Jake Lambro each scored goals for the 49ers against the Fireballs. Jake Amiri and Liam Maciel played well offensively for the 49ers. Ryan Flanagin, David Thoe and Jake Lambro played well in goal for the 49ers. Drew Homes and Johnny Foster anchored the 49ers’ defense.

    In other action Trevor Cheng, Parker Hill, Connor Witt and Joseph Weaver each scored goals for the Flames. Aidan Roloff and Carlos Caruso provided assists for the Flames. Hayden Rice, Chand Duggal and Christopher Overton played well on defense for the Flames.

  • TOP PLAYERS: Matthew Kenning, Nate Kragen, Alex Potts, Jake Borges, Aaron Zhang, Tyler Rocha, Andrew Whiteland, Paul Priess, Travis Demille, Cody Vaeth, Jayden Cardera, Owen Lahr (Cannonballs).

    Shaun Kienhofer, Max Kim and Joey Brasil each scored a goal for the Rays in a 3-0 win over the Ravens. Jordan Singh recorded two assists and Innes McEntee added a helper.

    Joe Schaffer played strong defense for the Ravens. Keagan Locher, Timmy Wu, Tyler Wineger and Kevin Yang played well on defense for the Rays.

    In a 4-0 Rapids win over the Revolution Amit Nagdev, Zach Sonnenschein and Michael Schwanhausser led a defense which allowed six shots on goal. Nate Gipson, Eric Holmes and David Koidal combined for the shutout.

    Ben Foos, Damian Johnson and Tyler Kline scored in the win. Brandon Larson, Arambh Ahuja and Jonathan Chestnutt played well on offense.

    Cara Ingrim scored the Panthers lone goal in a 1-1 tie to the Strikers. Shivi Bhatnagar scored the equalizer for the Strikers.

    Sara Sanchez and Lauren Chew played well for the Panthers. Jody Drummond and Avery Mahdavi played well for the Strikers.

    The Fury won three State Cup matches over the weekend while not allowing a goal.

    In a 2-0 win over the East Diablo Impact Silver, Rory Biles and Molly Kolander each scored. Rory Biles scored three goals in a 7-0 win over the Mid-Peninsula Strikers. Natalie Schmahl, Megan Rose, Kayla Eckermann and Genevieve DeWalt also scored in the win. Biles added two goals and Natalie Yates also scored in a 3-0 win over the Sonoma County Alliance.

    In the quarterfinal Biles recorded another hat trick in a 4-1 win over Diablo. Maddy Nelson also scored.

    Mustang Ladybugs U-12

    Mikayla Mills scored in sudden death overtime to hand the Ladybugs a win over the Heat in the championship game of the Dick King Tournament. it was Mills’ third goal of the game. Ally Switzer, Molly Appleby and Rachel Wood all played well in the win.

    The Ladybugs won in a shootout against the Velocity in the quarterfinals. Kiana Mills played well in goal and Mikayla Mooney and Jordan Blake scored.

    The Ladybugs followed with a 2-1 win over the Piranhas. Alexa Weis, Katie Galindo, Molly Deboisblanc and Maddie Lennet played well in the win.

    Jared Miller took a pass from Billy Barsi and scored in sudden death overtime to lift the Flash to a 4-3 win over the Strikers in the championship game of the Dick King Tournament.

    Livermore Junior Football League

    The Livermore Junior Football concluded its season with its all-star games at Granada High on Saturday night. in the Senior Division, the combined Giants and Jets squad defeated the Cardinals-Saints 24-20. in the Advanced Division, the 49ers-Ravens team held off the Dolphins-Raiders 8-6.

    LJFL concluded its third season serving the youth of Livermore. Sign-ups for the 2010 season will begin in February.
